The Winnipeg Folk Festival announce 2017 lineup

By March 14, 2017 No Comments

The 44th annual Winnipeg Folk Fest will take place July 6 to 9, 2017 in Winnipeg and the organization release their 2017 edition last week. Like last year, it's a big year for folk lovers back in Winnipeg.

This year’s headliners will be City & Colour, The Shins and Feist. Further down the bill you’ll find Barenaked Ladies, Daniel Lanois, Margaret Glaspy, Damien Juraro, Foy Vance and many more. The complete lineup is available on their website.

A big congrats to our own Montrealer Charlotte Cardin who will make the trip this summer!

“This year’s lineup is a culmination of many influences and inspirations. Having the chance to travel abroad on behalf of the festival to discover talent creates a great opportunity to bring that sense of discovery back home to the summer fest to share. Over our 44-year history, our audience has come to expect and be moved by the musical diversity on our stages and this year’s festival won’t disappoint. The 2017 Winnipeg Folk Fest is full of incredible talent and will be another musical adventure to remember for years to come.”
