Lollapalooza Paris drops inaugural lineup for 2017
With international editions in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Germany, you'd think Chicago's Lollapalooza festival would have been happy with five(!) events held across the world every year, right? Think again. The lineup for the first-ever Lollapalooza Paris was announced earlier this week, and its lineup is as strong as anyone would expect.
Heading the bill for the inaugural festival – an edition that had been announced back in October – will be the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Weeknd, Lana Del Rey, Imagine Dragons, and French EDM artist/hit machine DJ Snake, with Alt-J, the Pixies, London Grammar, the Roots and Glass Animals also confirmed to appear.
Also booked to play Lolla’s debut incarnation in France will be Liam Gallagher (of Oasis fame), as well as major French acts like Martin Solveig and IAM. Marshmello, the Hives, Crystal Fighters, Kaleo, Milky Chance and Skepta also help round out a lineup of more than 40 acts playing the two-day event.
The first Lollapalooza Paris will go down July 22 and 23 at the Hippodrome de Longchamp in Paris, France. Tickets are on sale now, with two-day passes going for €149 each (about $210 Canadian). For more details, visit www.lollaparis.com.
